Prof. Joshua Gisemba Bagaka's is a professor of quantitative research methods and Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs, Research, and Innovation at KCA University. He is Professor Emeritus at Cleveland State University since 2016 and a US African Regional Research Fulbright scholar to Kenya.  Professor Bagaka’s received his Masters of Science in Probabilities and Statistics and a Ph. D in Educational Research Design, Statistics, and Measurement both from Michigan State University. His research interests are in the utilization of hierarchical linear models (HLM) in analyzing multilevel and nested data. Professor Bagaka’s has also been involved in utilizing HLM to identify the value-added indicators of school and teacher effectiveness on student learning outcomes. He has interests in teaching Business Statistics and econometrics in the undergraduate and Advanced Research Methods in the master’s and Ph. D levels.
